Frequently asked questions
How do I delete my account?
Open the app and go to Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible. We delete your account, routines, mood entries, completion records, posts, feedback, and preferences. Backups are purged within 30 days.
Note: deleting your account does not cancel an active Apple subscription — see the next item.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by the platform you bought from — Apple on iPhone, Google Play on Android. To cancel on iPhone, open the iOS Settings app, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, tap Yovel, then Cancel Subscription. To cancel on Android, open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile icon, tap Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, tap Yovel, then Cancel.
You will keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period. Apple's instructions: support.apple.com/en-us/118428. Google's instructions: support.google.com/googleplay.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by the platform that processed your payment, not by Yovel. On iPhone, request at reportaproblem.apple.com. On Android, request at play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory. The platform decides each refund. If the platform declines and you believe there is a clear product fault, email [email protected] and we will help where we can.
I started the 7-day free trial. When am I charged?
You are not charged during the trial. The platform that processed your trial signup (Apple on iPhone, Google Play on Android) will charge you 24 hours before the trial ends unless you cancel before then. You can cancel anytime from the same platform's settings (see the cancellation FAQ above) and keep trial access until day 7.
I'm a Pro subscriber but the app says I'm not. What do I do?
First, force-quit the app and reopen it — entitlements refresh on launch. If that doesn't fix it:
- Open the app and go to Settings → Subscription → Restore purchases.
- Make sure you are signed in with the same account that purchased the subscription — Apple ID on iPhone, or Google account on Android.
If it still doesn't work, email [email protected] with the email tied to your Apple ID or Google account and the approximate purchase date.
I found a bug. How do I report it?
Two ways:
- In the app: Settings → Send feedback, choose category "bug", and describe what happened.
- By email: [email protected]. Include what you did, what you expected, what happened instead, your phone model, and your OS version (iOS or Android).
I have an accessibility issue (VoiceOver, contrast, motor, cognitive, etc.).
Accessibility is a first-class priority for Yovel. If anything is unusable for you, email [email protected] with the screen or feature affected and we will treat it as high priority. Please mention which assistive technology or setting you are using (VoiceOver, Voice Control, Larger Text, Reduce Motion, Reduce Transparency, Switch Control, etc.) so we can reproduce it.
Location, weather, or HealthKit features aren't working.
These features rely on iOS permissions. Check the iOS Settings app:
- Location: Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Yovel → choose "While Using the App".
- Health (sleep, steps): Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Yovel → turn on the categories you want to share.
- Notifications: Settings → Notifications → Yovel → allow notifications.
If permissions are correct and the feature still doesn't work, email [email protected].
How do I change my email address or display name?
Open the app and go to Settings → Account. You can update your display name there. Changing your sign-in email isn't supported in-app yet — email [email protected] and we will help.
I forgot my password.
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? and follow the email link Firebase sends you. If you don't see the email within a few minutes, check your spam folder. If you signed in with Apple or Google, there is no password — use the same provider you originally signed in with.
What data does Yovel collect?
Only what's needed to make routines work for you: account info, the routines we generate, mood entries, completion records, subscription state, and your preferences. We do not load any third-party analytics SDKs and we do not track you across other apps. Full details: Privacy Policy.
Is Yovel medical advice?
No. Yovel generates wellness routines for general lifestyle support. It is not a medical device, not a diagnostic tool, and not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or psychiatric care. If you have a health concern, please speak with a licensed clinician.
How do I report inappropriate content or another user?
In the social feed, tap the more button (three dots) on any post and choose Report. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. You can also block a user from the same menu. If you need to report something urgent, email [email protected] with the post or username.
Which devices does Yovel support?
Yovel is an iPhone app (iOS 17 or later). iPad is not supported in v1.0 — the binary declares iPhone-only support. If installed on iPad it will run in iPhone compatibility mode but the layout is not optimised for iPad and the experience is not officially supported. Apple Watch is not supported. Android is on the roadmap but is not shipping yet. Apple Health integration is iPhone-only and reads only sleep duration and step count.
