Yovel is built so people who rely on assistive technology can use every feature. This page documents the accessibility features the app supports and how to reach our team if you encounter a barrier.

Supported features

  1. VoiceOver — every screen and control is labelled. Image descriptions can be toggled in Settings → Accessibility → VoiceOver.
  2. Voice Control — every interactive element is labelled with a clear, speakable command. Extra spoken synonyms can be enabled in Settings → Accessibility → Voice Control.
  3. Larger Text (Dynamic Type) — the app respects iOS Dynamic Type, so adjusting Text Size in iOS Settings → Display and Brightness scales every screen. An in-app override is also available in Settings → Accessibility for users who want larger text without changing system settings.
  4. Dark Interface — full light + dark + system-following modes, plus a Calm Mode for distress-aware moments.
  5. Differentiate Without Color — every status indicator pairs colour with an icon, label, or shape. An optional "extra redundancy" mode adds patterns to charts.
  6. Sufficient Contrast — every text-on-background pair meets WCAG AA (4.5:1) or higher.
  7. Reduced Motion — the app respects the iOS Reduce Motion setting and offers an in-app override.
  8. Captions for audio — voice playback for daily routines and the AI Coach reflection both render a visible transcript when captions are enabled.
  9. Audio Descriptions — Not applicable. Yovel does not present video content.
